I found it really sad towards the middle where Callie's thoughts and feelings regarding Callum began to get really negative since we know Callum and all the information Callie received was based on lies and it was just really sad to read. Similarly it was so cute at the beginning when Callie was like seven or so and she had such a positive outlook on the world and believed positive things about Callum. AND YALL CAN HATE ON HER ALL YOU WANT AND SAY SHE WRITES THE SAME SHIT BUT IDCC IM NEVER HAPPIER THAN I AM WHILE READING HER BOOKS. she’s my comfort author for a good reason In chess, both sides must move a piece on their turn, even if they don’t want to move a piece because it will compromise their position. If one side cannot move a piece on the board at all, then a draw is reached automatically.

How to Reassess Your Chess: Chess Mastery Through Chess Imbalances. by Jeremy Silman. Jeremy suggests that this book is for players around 1400 elo. However, based on comments by other players, this book has proved to be slightly too complicated for a 1400-rated player. This book is better for higher rated intermediate players at least 1600. Seeing a massive list of books that you’ll get too sometime within the next two decades doesn’t help much. So I tried to include only the best books for each section, otherwise it would be easy to add over twenty books for every category. It’s important to know how we select the books that we included in this list, so here’s the criteria we use. I want to make it clear I LOVE ALI HAZELWOOD (look below to see my excitement before I even knew what this was about). I had super high expectations for this book. I know many people wanted her to change it up and try something different and she definitely did. I also know it’s impossible for me to connect to every character and story she writes. I think I personally prefer her writing about more mature characters (although Nolan slayed and carried the whole thing🫡) and I truly look forward to Ali's other books in the future🩷A well-constructed and thought-provoking real-life drama. Stewart Foster draws a clever link between the strategies required for gaming and for chess as Felix is drawn from one to the other, while Grandad’s cold war storyline brings in an additional element of interest and intrigue as Felix tries to untangle and understand his Granddad’s past. Our main character is Mallory, a young woman who works in an auto-repair shop to make enough money to support her family and who frequently hooks up with men and women but is too afraid of emotional intimacy to ever let any of her partners get too close to her. She used to have a very powerful passion for chess and she was one of the best players in the world as a child, but something that happened in her past made her turn away from the sport completely, and now she’s all bitter and defensive about it. CALLUM'S REAL LETTER WAS THE CUTEST THING! I knew for obvious reasons that the content of the first one was lies. I grew so attached to Callum's character in the first book just to have him ripped out from under us but when his real letter was revealed, to see it written under Callum's perspective as a header, two books later following his death was so hearbreaking but beautiful at the same time! All the feels. Some of the patterns are common but are somehow not covered in most of the other articles, books, or learning resources. I’ve added them here and named them too

Chess For Dummies . If you’re a fan of the Dummies books, then Chess for Dummies is for you. They do a good job at explaining everything about the subject from A, to Z. If you are going to move your g-pawn early to fianchetto your light-squared bishop, maybe try moving your g-pawn to g3 instead of the g4 square. We will be seeing the Fool's Mate pattern more in this article. Scholar's Mate Although I don't think Jude's actions are justified as there is nothing in the world that justifies terrorism, I find it really unfortunate that he ended up in his current position due to such strong injustices in his from such a young age. His whole hatred towards the way things were stemmed from him not being able to continue getting his education after getting a glimpse of it and loving it more than anything while he had it. It's like if you deny a human his basic human rights, how can you expect him to have any humanity left? It makes sense now as well of the little bits of Jude's resentment towards Callum in the first book for taking school for granted. I really wished Jude would be redeemed in some tiny form at least... I suppose he was slightly in the sense that he finally realised that Cara Imega was his ultimate love, despite being a cross. He realised that he could and in fact did love a cross for who she was and her being a cross didn't contribute to her personally. It's what's inside that matters as some clever person once said. anyways here is my message to Ali Hazelwood on book ideas she could use while still staying in the relm of science. When his Granddad decides teaching Felix to play chess will help, Felix will do anything to get out of it. Aside from being boring, chess is for nerds! He really just wants to play video games and the imaginary war games he and his friend love so much. Plus Granddad has some pretty odd habits, like always keeping the curtains closed and never answering the phone.

Retailers:

There is quite a bit of dotting about in the timeline, indicated with statements such as 'Callie Rose is seven', and we gradually see how the child develops from a happy trusting child who has been taught to love the father she has never known, without being told what really happened to him, into a disillusioned, confused and embittered teenager who is vulnerable to being groomed by Jude on behalf of the organisation for which he works. Nolan and Mallory. Ah, young love I say that as someone who literally has no experience in the realm of dating! They’re adorable. Expect secret smiles, inside jokes, affectionate words, intimate touches, late-night talking, and all-night cuddling.
